Kaibigan accords the highest priority to providing poor children with an education. It recognizes that a sound education is a poor kid’s most reliable passport out of poverty.
Children’s Development Program provides formal and non-formal education to around 400 youngsters every year through primary, secondary, and tertiary. Assistance is given in the form of school uniforms, supplies, projects, and allowances to selected few.
In addition, Kaibigan runs academic and non-academic services like tutorials, computer laboratory, mini-library, and organizes regular training, seminars, and workshops on different topics such as children’s rights, child abuse prevention, leadership, and the like. Kaibigan has also established various children’s groups such as theatre, visual arts, and child rights advocates to hone children’s giftedness and encourage participation
The main objectives of the COP are to raise awareness among individuals, parents, and children in poor communities of major issues such as the rights of children and women, responsible parenting, disaster preparedness, violence against women and children, and to encourage them to believe that they can influence and improve the conditions
